Good race. No yellows. Congrats to Michael, who posted the some speeds with
the fast setup that I would have thought impossible.

Sorry to Larry for punting you in lap 1/2, I realised too late I couldnt
use my normal braking point :-(
I was runnig steady from then, but got a disco around lap 21. When I
returned in the race and was put in my pitstall a very strange thing
happened - someone drove through me and I was thrown backwards with a very
high force causing me to swirle to the beginning of pit road where John
just came in - hope you managed to get by safely.

It's a very normal thing to happen, that's why I keep shouting at people
when I see them drive through stalls at any point in a race.

I've found out the hard way, when reconnecting, it's very important to wait
for your entry list to fill up before going to track. Otherwise your game
might start getting position updates on another car and show it to you when
you're right on top of it.

Well, I enjoyed the first race with you guys.  Hope I wasn't too much of a
moving road block for you.  I tried to give room when it was safe to do so.
Started off one lap down.  Had do disconnect(for the first time ever online,
I was getting screen lockups:o(   )  and by the time I got back in the start
sequence had started and had to start from pit lane.
Sorry again to Tim (car#2).  My wife forgot it was my first race with you
guys and didn't tell my 4 year old kid to stay away from the 'puter room.  I
was going to give you room, but my kid grabbed my arm and turned me into
you.

I need someone to help me understand how to clear black flags. I was doing
well until my pitstop at about 1/2 distance. After the stop I was informed
that I had been black flagged for speeding in the pitlane. I stopped on the
next lap without speeding. The crew changed my tires and off I went only to
be told I would be DQ'd if I didn't serve the penalty. I then stopped on the
next lap (having turned off the tire change) and left the pits when the
voice said go, go, go. I was then booted (DQ'd from the race). I never saw
the official with the stop watch. Did I do it incorrectly? I thought you
just had to stop in your spot to clear it.

Thanks,
Spark

Did your spotter tell you it was a stop-n-go, or a drive through
penalty. If it's a drive through, it won't clear if you stop. If it's
a stop-n-go, it won't clear if you drive thru without stopping.

Thanks John. That is something I did not know. I think the same thing
screwed up another race for me also. Oh well, the race was fun while it
lasted for me.

<SNIP>
Speeding in pit lane should be a drive through, unsafe is a stop and go.
Spotter only tells you once, I learned the hardway too.  :-(

Hmm...  I've gotten a speeding penalty before, and it was a stop and go...

I think that has to do with speeding entering or exiting.  I tend to speed
entering.

Michigan is loosey Goosey,  I can run around good till I want to try to pass
someone, then I seem to loose my arc and spin, over and over.  I have a week
to figure this out though.
