> Spokane, Washington State.

I've taken a few trips to the Spokane area to go skiing at Schweitzer
and Silver Mountain.(That gondola ride during high winds is terrifying!)
Almost got the chance to live there (Kettle Falls) but didn't get the
job.

> I grew up in Peckham

I was fortunate enough to grow up in Buxton, somewhere a *little* more
scenic... and bl**dy cold for 11 and a half months of the year, which may
be why I only appreciate it now I live somewhere less, er... pleasant.

I saw a couple of the fast guys racing at the Dutch LAN party -
Andreas Wilke, Jarno Bierman, Gabor Weber, some of the fastest GPL
drivers in the world. And unfortunately, I couldn't learn anything by
just watching them.. It's like watching someone paint or playing
guitar, you can watch all you want, it won't help you much :(

Hmmm, not so sure about that geezer, depends where exactly in Bromley
people live. Bromley goes quite a bit into Kent. Its the largest London
Borough and goes down to Farnborough & Biggin Hill, and Orpington &
Chelsfield get pretty close to Brands, say about four miles away (as the
crow flies).

Come on matey, how far *exactly* are you from Brands? eh? well? Go on,
get the tape out!!!

Lucky ***. I always seem to say "next year" around about this time of
year. The price you seem to have to pay for fame it seems :-)

Hehe.

There I was taking the Mick about the Yanks taking our town names for their
own. You just reminded me that there are three Farnborough's in ENGLAND :-)

MS

Farnborough, Hants.
Nowhere near Brands but close to Thruxton........

Well, when most of those American "New X" towns were named they were still

Shouldn't that be "unabomber"?  We're learning more about Mr.

What what people think of including such information in gplrank
and make it searchable? Just an idea as I plan to support WSC
when it comes out, too, so we might as well turn gplrank into a
"real" community site.

cheers,
