lol   I grew up in a small town tucked up near the Canadien border.  It is
so small,
we had T-shirts made up with these slogans, Omak is the name of the town
btw.
(it's an Indian word for Plenty...the only thing they have Plenty of near
Omak is Sagebrush and sand)
here's the slogan;
"Omak is NOT the End of the Earth...but you can see it from there."

: I'm formerly from MotorCity, England too. I don't know how long it is
since
: you've been back there but it's pretty depressing now. Almost all the car
: factories are gone, replaced by housing estates, supermarkets, and in
: Standard-Triumph's case by a MuckDonald's, and even the football team play
: with SUBARU across their chests.

I've been to Omak many times - I grew up in Castlegar, British Columbia
(Canada). If you think Omak is small you've never been to Castlegar.

I live in Victoria BC now. Motto: where old Canadians go to die ;)

I've been through Omak many times on long motorcycle day loops, down through
the North Cascades and up through the Okanogan and back to Vancouver. Beautiful
area.

Wow, that's 3 Victoria RAS'ers now - Sideshow Bob, me and now you. Not bad
for a sleepy little city. Anybody else out there? Let's see if we can beat
Detroit!
