New CART sim!!!

The engine for the CART sim will be, if I have read correctly, the F1 2001
product, which is getting very good reviews for it's physics.  Unless of
course your an Nvidia user, who can't find Fraps or know how to enable a
window or can't find the drivers that were released 20 minutes ago or can't
find the drivers that  were released 26 minutes ago....:)
The original beta of the CART mod for F1CS was visually stunning, the cars
on the outside sounded awesome, (inside the***pit sounded tinny) and I
assume with an official license we will get all the CART tracks.
It could be arcade, but hopefully the team working on it will emphasize
the sim part of the F1 2001 engine.

Gee...   with Chip Ganasi and Roger Penske Pulling out of CART,
along with honda and toyota, What are you going to simulate?
All the suits scratching their heads as to what went wrong in the
mis-management of cart?
Hopefully Forsythe (with their majority share of stock) will take
the series and improve it. But the future looks bleek for CART.

I wouldnt count on this sim making it to the shelf.

Where is TRUSR when you need him,

C A R T ! ! !

:)

I hope it will be a full standalone product, since although the cars
and driving model om CART 2000 was very promising, I really don't get
the right immersion on mods as that.

That'll be good.  Then we'll have something to do in 2003 (hard to
watch the real thing if they have no motors or find some other way to
implode).  :(

"But in a way, fear is a big part of racing, because if there was
nothing to be frightened of, and no limit, any fool could get into
a motor car and racing would not exist as a sport." -- Jim Clark
