Eh?

Is this twue?

Seriously though...wot a bummer and whats an even bigger pain is I've just
upgraded from a P2 400mhz 64mb to a AMD XP1700 with 512mb in order to play
the dammed thang. And now I've got to ditch the V3000 as well???

Bollox !!

Or as Terry Thomas would say "Blaaaaaaaaaaaast and ***ation !!"

Well it works with my V5500 but the framerates are not great and thats with
graphics turned down low
Also the armco turns purple in the distance.
Been eying up a GF3ti200 to run it better, but might wait now for the GF4ti
range

Even if the V3 worked it would run poorly.  When I upgraded to an AMD 1600+
with 512 MB Ram I tried my V5 5500 and the frame rates sucked (barely 30 fps
turning graphics down).  I upgraded to a GF3 Ti 500 and get 100 fps in test
mode and 40-80 racing with a full field (1280x960x16-bit) and all graphics
on high/full.

Ian, handicapping your new 1700+ with an old V3 is like driving a Ferrari
F50 with square tires.  ;0)
