F12K and the LWFF

Greetings racers! I really want to like this title<g>, but I'm having a
tough time configuring my LWFF. No matter what I do with the controller
settings in the game, it feels as if I have about a 5-8% deadzone and
non-linear steering. The wheel feels numb on-center, does nothing for the
first few degrees of travel and then all the steering comes on with a bang.
This makes the car very twitchy indeed, as well as making it very hard to
turn in accurately.

I'm using DXTweak, set at 0, and I have the Profiler deadzone set to low and
sensitivity set to medium.

Could some LWFF/F12k users share your in-game controller settings?

TIA

I just used the default game and controller settings and turned on
the spring effects in FF games. Make sure that slider is set to 50%.

I haven't been able to drive F1 2000 in 2 months because of
my injury. I may try to fire it up today though... My Dr told me
I needed to exercise my right foot anyway :-) I will look closer
then...

Greg, I don't know what sort of injury you had, I'm glad to hear it's
improving though. I found sim driving to be a huge help with rehab of my
left leg from a bad motorcycle crash. At first I could only stab at the
brakes (I'm a left foot braker), but because I had a goal, improving my
times and my driving, I forced myself to workout more and gradually the
control and strength returned. It's still only about 80%, but it could have
been a whole lot worse. I really miss motorcycles, but sim racing is almost
as much fun<g>.
