N2 Frame Rates

Go into the graphics option and set the min/max frame rate to the same
number. set an option to auto ( I use clouds), then go in  the game.
If the clouds flash on and off, that is the frame rate. If they stay
off, then set a lower number for min/max. If they stay on, set a
higher number until they flash. That number is the frame rate. It will
not be the same at all the tracks. Bull Run and Red Rock have more
detail and thus lower frame rate. My Cyrxi 200 with SDRAM and a Herc
Stingary 128/3D gets about 16fps are Rocking with 14 cars front/2
rear, and all detail on. You need 30-40 for it to really start getting
smooth.

Hi,

I've seen numerous posts about what kind of frame rate people are getting
in Nascar2. What I was wondering is how are you getting these numbers? How
are you measuring the frame rate in the game itself? Any info would be
appreciated!!

Thanks,
Rad

It's difficult to get an exact figure, but I feel that most base their
"guesses" on how the game looks, as well as how it stacks-up
against other sims (which may, or may not have a counter).

Cheers!
