When and only FSAA is enabled, NR2K2 (and NR2K3 Demo) seems to show stiffly
problems on my system when I switch back and forth (using Alt-Tab) from
Desktop to the game.
When it happen, I can heard a strong and high pitch in my speakers, a blue
screen followed, after a few seconds, by a RESET on my system! This problem
occurs in both Win98SE and WinXP Pro (SP1) using actual and previous
Catalyst ATI drivers. Same problem when Audigy card is disabled. This
problem occurs only when FSAA (32-bit) is enabled. In FSAA mode, there is
also a strange fine line (multicolored) at the top Nascar Racing 2002/2003
main menu. In FSAA, when I configure the 3d graphics, using the Papyrus 3d
graphic menu, there is some garbage/noise around the info text characters
displayed on screen.
My system is a GigaByte GA-8PE667 Ultra with 512MB powered by a 460-Watt
supply, 2.53Ghz P4, ATI 9500pro and an Audigy soundcard. PC tower case is
well ventilated.
Some ideas about this problem?
