New Patch for NR2k2 is for demo only?!

I tried applying the patch using the in-game updater, and it says not
compatible. This was bought by me at EBgames, so it is not warez...

I guess the update is for the demo version. Can anyone verify this?

I'm not about to download the demo to check this... 56k *ugh*

  Worked fine here.  Don't use the in-game updater......Sierra's version of
this has never worked right, at least not for me.

  The patch is a self-installing executable.

Doubt they would release a patch for a demo...but I downloaded it from the
website in the thread below and it installed fine. You probably have other
stuff installed that makes the installation not work.
