I don't have this sim, but try turning off hardware sound acceleration if
you are using Win98.
If it is under XP, well, tough luck.

I also use a TB Santa Cruz under Win XP and other than an occasional slight
crackle (at certain RPM) all else works fine (matter of fact the sound
rocks). I have my system setup to use ACPI in the bios and most all else is
stock also. I know this isn't of much use for your problems but at least
you know others are ok with this combo :)

I have a TBSC, ViaChipset, TBird system running XP,
No problems for me, I do get an occasional crack or pop
in the engine sounds but not bad at all. The Gentlemen start
..... sounds much better to me than the N4 version.
If you have a AMD system make sure you're sound card
is in a slot which does not share a interrupt with another slot.
In my Asus motherboard I have the sound card in
PCI/Slot 3 . I remember hearing that this makes a difference.
