effect of having a PCI soundcard ???

Does having a PCI soundcard (like the SB AWE 64) any advantage over the ISA
card I have (SB 32)? Is the framerate bettre or does the wheel respond
better?

Thanks

Hi Karl...

Alison Hine and others report great results with the SB Live Value PCI
sound card... great sound and a 5-10 fps improvement in GPL. I'm gonna
get one, as they are only around $70.

going from an ISA to a PCI sound card made a big difference in the
area of control. The ISA sound card's gameport gave me some serious
problems like : "spikes" in the analog signal that would make sudden
jerks to the left or right while going down Masta straight (this is
not good BTW). The PCI card cleared it up and gave me another 2 fps or
so. I don't know why ( or care too) I'm just glad it worked.
