Nascar99 with PCI Soundcard/Gameport

Hi,

Seeing that Nascar2 would never work with my Diamond
Monster PCI Soundcard AND Gameport I sincerely HOPE that
Sierra fixes this in Nascar99. It's a shame not being
able to play that game anymore without sound and steering
wheels.

 SIERRA - HOPE YOU'RE LISTENING!!!!

Just to be clear it's not Nascar2's fault, as it's a limitation of the
MonsterSound's gameport only working for true Windows native apps (it
does has very basic SB emulation for DOS-box apps so you could get sound
to work).  That said, NASCAR Racing 1999 Edition will have Windows
native EXE's which work flawlessly with the MonsterSound.

I had the same problem with sound and the wheel.  I was able to get both to
work.

There is tech info on Sierra's web site for the sound problem. At a DOS
prompt, type set and check to see what the settings are for the Blaster
environment variable. Go into sound setup and manually configure the
settings.  This fixed the sound problem.

Next, if your wheel is a Thrustmaster, you may have to d'l Pro Panel and
configure your card under Windows 95/98.

Yes! YEs! YES!
I'm having Diamond MonsterSound too, and passying lonly days without
NASCAR Racing2.  I was wondering is NASCAR99 including windows
native version like ICR2 for win. I can wait NASCAR3(2000?) with
NASCAR99! =)
