GP3 GpX patch problem

Anyone have the problem with the patch killing the framerate?  With a
full field at Spain, I get 90%, but with the sound patch on, it is
200%.  With sound box unchecked, it runs normally.   Any ideas?

What soundcard you use, i have SB Live and PO is same with and without a
patch, soundcard must support Directsound.

No, there doesn't seem to be any noticeable hit on the PO. I'm at
about 60% at the highest resolution anyway so am not too concerned on
a couple of percent or so increase. But your figures seem pretty
drastic! The Readme mentions that the 3D sound is done through
DirectX/3D so that the hit on PO is very small. I have DirectX8
installed...that may make a difference. Checking for the latest sound
and video drivers might help too.

Thanks for the help everyone.  I have an aged SB128 and have never had
a problem with it (DX8).  But, if I have to ditch it to use this
patch, I sure will!
