HI, everyone. I'm new to Nascar and have only been racing for about
a month or two now, and I have a problem that is buggy me to death.
I don't know how many times this has happened so far, but a LOT for
sure: I'm in a race, and doing very, very well, when I decide to pit
for some gas and maybe get my hood pounded down a little so I can
see a little better. I come in fast at about 9 billion miles per hour,
and do a screeching skid into my pit stall. My boys fix me up in no
time, and then I'm ready to hit the track again. NOT! I do an ALT-B
to keep my speed under 55 in the pit, and then floor it out to the track,
but auto-braking keeps my speed AT or UNDER 55mph until I reach the track
at which point I do another ALT-B to give me manual control over braking
so I can take those turns at 700mph.
The big problem here, is that when I come BACK AROUND to the starting line
I frequently get an "Exceeded 55mph in the pit area" and a black flag!
ARGH! Race is ruined! The thing is, I did NOT exceed 55mph in the pit!
Is this a bug? Any work-arounds? The only thing I can think of (this
just came to me) is that maybe I'm coming INTO the pit too fast? But
why doesn't it register as soon as I'm detected going over 55? Why
does it tell me the next time I go around the track? GAR!
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
