Hi,

If any of you are having trouble with F1RS from Ubisoft locking up
during play (after about 1-7 laps in a race), I might know the
problem...

It may be your 3DFX card overheating. First remove the casing from your
PC, then try the game. If it still locks up, your card needs even more
cooling, try putting a fan on the card to keep it cool as you play.

I had loads of problems with lock ups in the game, but I got it sorted
with the help of some people from this group by blowing cool air onto my
3DFX card with a fan!

Another possible solution is to stop overclocking it. Run it at the
default 50Mhz. If you don't know that I'm talking about, then you aren't
overclocking, so don't worry about it.

Doesn't Diamond's Monster3D driver overclock the card to 57 without
specifically saying so?
