------------
"First we played many of the successful games that people have become
accustomed to (Carmageddon, Colin McRae, Grand Prix Legends etc). From this
analysis we were able to decide what the quality level had been set to and
knew what we had to beat. "
------------

Let's hope they don't think Carmageddon is the one to beat ;-)

One good thing about Rallye sims is that somehow you are alone on the track
most of the time, and the AI is only there when your pass one or get passed.
You can boost up the graphic side then...   It's like GPL in Hot-lap mode..

------------
"This idea is not as strange as it first sounds. The environments can be
very diverse and wide, this leads to shortcuts being possible across the odd
grass verge etc. We have not concentrated heavily on this aspect and these
sections do not appear too often."
------------

Oh my... possible flop of the year for ONLY thinking about implementing
this.  Adding track shortcuts... it's a blasphemy to any serious simracer.

But Im still anticipating the title... let's hope the Hype is true ! :)

how hard it is to put up with all the idiots in the world."

After playing the CMR demo and TOCA, I like the way they (Codemaster) do the
incar view with the sway and movement of the***pit to give a sense of how
hard you are cornering. It seems that from IRC and the screen shots from
this new rally game, that there wont be any***pit view. I hope they take
the time to make the***pit views.
