I have F12002, RT and NR2002 and can say that NR2002 and F12002 are
both better out of the box than RT. GP4 (from what I read in the RAS
forum)is a bug filled patch-fest and Rallisport Challenge I haven't
really heard a whole lot about. Don't get me wrong, RT is a good game,
but I spent too much time trying to get it setup, rather than driving.

I didn't get into what the exact quals for "Driving Game of the Year"
were, but I personally feel that the 2 that I own were FAR superior to
RT.

Just my .02 worth, fwiw.

Happy Holidays.

every year, it pretty much goes the same way. Papyrus is expected to deliver
high quality games and they do, but they never get the awards because they
arent as a company developing success that no one expects. It's just like
other sports. The teams that win the title, their coaches hardly ever get
coach of the year ...

I think it's cool that they gave it to a rally game. Especially a game, that
went for a highly realistic approach. Maybe a few other companies will wake
up and start realizing that a good rally game will get high respect if it's
done well, as apposed to rallisport challenge :)

BTW, I just won the Expert Rally by a mile in the Ford Escort! What a ***
car... The power of the stratos, but significantly bigger and heavier.

Because those two games are just updates of the same old shit they released
the year before. Ok, not shit :)...and they are significantly better than
their originals, but BugBear created a sim no other company has tried
before, and did it well, so I think they deserve it.

Thanks,
Alex
