I'm trying to get the best out of that stupid pedals. First thing was to
figure out how to increase the pedal travel for both brake and throttle
pedal. I almost started cutting the hole into the pedal cover to make room
for more travel when i noticed that i could gain a few mm by simply removing
the *** pads that stop the pedals when they are fully pressed. I removed
them only to notice that it had no effect on the effective pedal travel. I
can press the pedal some extra mm now but i noticed that pots reach their
min value ( 0.0000 ) before they even hit the bottom. Why is that? Do i have
to recalibrate ( although i don't know when or how i calibrated them in the
first place ) ? How? I don't have an instrument to meassure the pots if they
really reach their limit at that point or is that a driver thing. If i can
solve the min value problem the same will probably apply for max value
 only then i will start cutting the pedal cover ).

I know that i should really get the CH Pedals but they are not sold here in
Slovenia and i don't have a credit card to order them online. Does anyone
know if they are sold in Austria, Italy or Germany and at what price?

Why would you want more travel??????????????
a real brake pedal has nearly no travel!!!!!
i'm looking into removint the pot meter and replacing it with a pressure
sensor...

Why? More control that extra travel would give me. I know that pressure
sensor needs no travel but then you control the pressure of your foot not
the travel. How would it be if your pressure sensor could only detect lets
say 0.1 - 1 Newton per square meter ( just speculation, i don't have a
slightest idea of what pressure sensors can detect )? Pretty impossible,
huh?

I don't know about the *** stop, but after cutting the hole to increase
travel just reboot the PC or disconnect and reconnect the USB cable, and the
pedals are recalibrated to Windows. Then start GPL and recalibrate there, and
now you are done. You won't need to recalibrate again.

I went out and bought the CH pedals, thinking this was the solution to the LWFF
pedals. They are probably great for flight sims, but I think they are no good
for car sims. They have almost no resistance (which you can fix with the half
squash ball trick?) but more importantly the pivot point is almost half way up
the pedal. So your ankle has to do an unnatural rocking motion to operate the
pedals - as your toe moves down, your heel moves up! Also I think you would need
to elevate the front of the pedal base slightly or bring the pedals closer to
your chair. It just doesn't feel right. Some people love them, I find them
unusable.

Keith, it took me a week to get used to the pivot motion of the ch
pedals, but once you get the feeling, nothing can beat them imho. Even
without the squashball (I didn't cut it in halves btw) I can brake
very precise. The squashball makes braking just a little bit easier.
Hang on to them, I'm positive you'll start to love them once you get
used to them.

I think the CH Pedals are great too and as Andre says, they took me a bit of
time to get used to.

I only found them usable after I made a support for them to raise the back
by 1.5 inches.  The added benefit of the support is that I made it so that
it sits against the wall behind my computer desk so that the pedals are
always in the same position.

yep, same here. took me some days and a brake-pedal modification (added
an elastic), but it was well worth it!
