I just bought N4 and a Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback wheel (USB) and
everything works fine except I can't get the FF part of it to work in
Nascar4.  It seems to work ok in the settings in Control Panel, but not in
the game.
When in the control options in the game you can't check or uncheck
ForceFeedback, its greyed out.

Any help appreciated

I had the same thing, except not with the usb version.  Assuming you have
the most recent versions of Direct-X and the MS joystick software, you must
use the Direct Input option (not the optimized one) in the controller menu
in n4.  First off, I created a new profile for n4 in the ms joystick
software.  After calibration in n4, and setting my steering wheel, throttle,
etc in n4, for some reason the force feedback option was no longer greyed
out, and then I was able to adjust the FF....hope that helps....

Pick the other joystick driver in the game and the box will be available to
turn on ff but it's not very good :(

I'm pretty sure I have DX8, and I'm using the software that came with the
wheel.  I was using the Direct Input option....I'll try reinstalling and see
if that helps.
