When I first got my 1G T-Bird, I had the motherboard dip switches all
messed up. If I remember right It was overclocked to 1.2xx along with other
bad things. Any case, If I remember right again, I got 177fps in the demo.
There truly is a **BIG** improvement between what I get now of a steady and
flat 60fps and that 177. At 177 everything looked so fluid I still can't
believe it. Having experienced that high of a frame rate, 60 looks as
choppy as GPL did on my P150 with a 3D (software mode) card at a top of
15fps. If it wasn't for the fact that I'm terrified of cooking the system
with the summer heat, even with so many extra fans, I'd over clock the hell
out of this.
After reading some on the Ultra (damn memory, can't remember the video
card brand) in relation to the CPU's, I wish there was a comparison to the
V5. It looks like my only bottle neck now is the video card to get anything
more then 60.
