Nascar 2003: Beta Testers Running in Leagues. Lets Level the Playing Field!

I was wondering when the sharpest shovel was gonna start digging. Hee Hee.
Wow. Blow the dust off those memories. I almost forgot about that whole
mess. I was cutting my teeth in sim racing in those days. I cheated the
legal way though. I became a guide on TEN and punted the fast guys before
the game launched. :) J/K

There is a difference between being accused and being proven.  You have been
proven to cheat and have admitted to stealing from fellow racers.  Until you
can mentally tell the difference between the two it would probably best to
shut the *** up Don.

KK.. get real.. you have been accused of cheating on all nascar releases..
do you believe your
  accusers. lol

  Don

He is an old guy, that has been around since N1, and has a reputation of
being a sneaky player looking for holes, and exploiting them to his
advantage.  As he just showed.  He has also been accused of cheating on N2.

who is Don Wilshe? old skool gpler? new skool n2003er?

the name rings a bell but i cant associate anything with it (sorry if
that
sounds harsh don, but i see you going on and on about quick guys
'bending'
the games rules, and it gives all quick guys a bad name).

The only thing this shows to me is that the game has been flawed for quite
some time.

Every release has had some flaws yet some argue till they're blue in the
face that there isn't anything wrong untill they hear from thier sim god
Papy that a patch is coming out.

Wouldn't you like the game to be fair for everyone of just a select few? I'd
like to see the list of bugs that are going to be patched. It would also
help league admins to be on the lookout for anything that is out of the
ordinary. I do believe this is what Don was asking for from the very first
post and you guys took it to mean he's trying to exploit something here. The
only exploiting I see here is the whole goup of you guys trying to tar and
feather someone like a witch hunt in Boston. Go and reread the first message
again. Try and imagine that Don didn't write this post and it was someone
else that did. I know that it will be kinda hard for you guys but just give
it a shot. Hope I didn't start a few migraines out there from all the
concentration it might take some of you to do so. :-)

Ok Wilshe Jr., I'll explain it to you.  There are bugs.  There are flaws.
There were flaws found just prior to the game going gold that couldn't be
addressed before duplication.  There were flaws found after the game shipped
to retail outlets.  There are probably still flaws and bugs that haven't
been found yet.  If you really need to know the exact flaws to the game, why
don't you search around for them.  Most that I am aware of have already been
discussed and still remain on various message boards.  If you don't feel
like the information out there is enough, then double-click the damn game
icon and start dinking around to find them.

If you really think that there are 'exploit' flaws that the 'guys in the
know' are using to drive better than everyone else, then I think you should
open the Yellow Pages and find some therapy.  Start the damn game and
practice.  Don't blame a known, possible, and/or unknown exploit for your
lack of driving talent.

You need therapy.

BTW Mr. Know it ALL, why don't you tell us what bugs you have found instead
of spouting useless drivel? Isn't this what the original post is about? Have
a migraine, do we? ;-)

Man, if I thought everyone who was faster than me was cheating...?

If someone knows a flaw that *could* be exploited, but doesn't use it, do they
still have an advantage?  If so, how/why?

Besides, if the 10 ot 20(or however many) beta testers knew a trick that made
them faster than anyone else, they would basically run away with every race
they enter.  If I wanted to win all the time against the AI, I could simply
crank the difficulty slider to 50%, and win every race while lapping the field
multiple times.  Where's the fun in THAT?

Go to google.com and search for FASTLAP in their news-group search engine...
that should cover most of it i think..

Put simple...Don and some friends hosted a Hotlap competiton for N1 thru
their ivga.com site.... Only problems was that the program used to verify
and submit replays/hotlaps - also stole the drivers setups!  ;-)
