TM GP1 and CH pro throttle?

I have just upgraded my CH throttle to the Pro Throttle have now
noticed that the paddles in my GP1 no longer seem to function.  They
were fine with the regular throttle.  I know that the Pro Throttle can
be used to program the buttons on any joystick plugged into it and
this is cool but I guess this has blocked the function of the paddles.
Is there an easy fix for this?  (Besides unplugging the pro throttle,
obviously.)

My setup is GP1 ----> Pro Throttle ----> Pro Pedals ----> gameport.
