There obviously is a bug preventing the left pedal to be used - under normal
circumstances.

You will usually have the Virtual Pilot configured and calibrated under
Windows95. This perfectly works with most or all games. Unfortunately, F1 by
Ubisoft will no recognize the Pedals as Joystick No. 2.

Thanks to (if forgot his name and the site is down, so I can't look it up),
who published the crucial hint on the web page
http://www.racesimcentral.net/, there is a way to work around
that problem though this cannot be the final solution.

You have to define the Virtual Pilot (or whatever device) and the CH Pedals
as two different joysticks under Windows95. This seems to work only, if you
choose two times "2-axis/2-buttons" joysticks and calibrate properly. Be
patient, you may have to try this several times.

Next time you start F1, go to the "configuration-menue" and the pedals will
be recognized as a second (or first) joystick.

Have fun and thanks again to ...., who found out!

I starting to feel glad the US isn't getting this one right away.
After reading about the sound and graphics glitches, now this, I'm
hoping by the time the US version is on the shelves it'll be fixed.

The last 2 sims I was looking forward to SODA and CPR were both
letdowns to the point that I didn't purchase them.
Since this is the last one I had hope for, this kind of hurts.  :(

Hope they get it patched quick.

No reason to feel glad, sorry! The control setup could be a lot better,
but if you fool around with it a little bit, it works.

The only big issue is that you can't edit the driver names. I want
my name on this best lap anouncment, dammit!!! ;^)
