I know you can't save in the Season mode.
I have heard that you can save in the quick race mode.

How????  How can I run a race for 50 laps, save and continue later?

There is no "SAVE" option in N2 at all.  Papyrus didn't offer this
option in N2 because they felt drivers would "cheat" in the NASCAR
Racing league coming later this year (at least that's what I've been
hearing).

You've been hearing incorrectly. (Well, you might be hearing OK, but
what you are hearing is not the truth...)

Save game was eliminated because it was not very good in the first
place (very unrealistic, and pretty much a simple hack), it was not
working in the N2 codebase, and it had to be eliminated to have any
chance of shipping for Christmas, which rightly or wrongly, is VERY
important to entertainment software companies...

NRL races, just like every type of multiplayer races, will never be
able to be saved. Only single player games will be able to be saved,
if a patch for save game is created and made available...
