GPL - Menus disappears with beta Opengl ?

by Roy Madd » Sun, 17 Jan 1999 04:00:00

Hiyas, just installed the beta opengl thingie from papy.com and while
the games looks great while driving, my menu screens are all black now
and the buttons appear to have disappeared (the way I got to drive was
by pressing where the green button used to be). Have you seen this and
how did you fix it? btw stb4400

Thanks
Roy

As explained in the readme, it's a bug in STB's drivers.  To get around
it, you'll need to install the .48 reference drivers from NVidia.

The only problem being that (for me at least) the NVidia .48 reference
drivers won't even let me boot into Win95 :-(

Anybody know if there's a "magic incantation" required to get rid of
lingering bits of STB driver? I have an STB4400 with PAL TV out by the
way if it's relevant, which I think it might be, because if I
accidentally install the STB drivers for the version with no TV (OEM
version?) out I get the same problem...
