Nascar 2 sound problem?

by thend.. » Mon, 17 Mar 1997 04:00:00

I just purchased and loaded Nascar2 and it seems the sound is not as
good as Nascar1. It sound as though a helicopter is running on top
of the car engines. It does not seem to have the deep roar that
Nascar1 has. It this normal or do I have a problem?
I'm using an Ensoniq Audiopci wavetable sound card with speakers and
subwoofer and running in soundblaster mode.

Thanks

Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone.  I have noticed
the same problem on my system.  I have a SB16 with Altec Lansing
speakers and a subwoofer.  On Nascar 1, it would shake my desk but on
2, the sound is very weak.  I have played with all of the sound
settings to no avail.  If anyone has an idea, PLEASE let me (us) know!

Todd, try adjusting the spotter's voice level audio as outlined in the
manual.  Keep in mind that as you slide the level up between 0-50%, the
spotter's voice level increases.  As you slide the level beyond 50%, all
other sounds in the game begin to diminish proportionately.  If you want
maximum everything, run the spotter audio no higher than 50%.  Move it
above 50% if you want the other sounds to decrease in order to hear his
voice above engines, etc.

God Bless,
Steve
