NASCAR 2002 sound problems

I just installed N2002 on my new computer:

Soltek SL-75DRV5
XP 1900
Samsung 256mb DRR333 ram
Hercules/Fortissimo II soundcard

I'm not getting any in car engine sound. I remember reading something a
while back but can't find it. Any ideas?
