Hi all,
Got a couple questions: I just got Las Vegas loaded and the cal file edited
enough to at least be able to see Las Vegas.  The problem is there is a
definate skip while running it.  I noticed this too on a couple other "new"
tracks.  What's even stranger is that when I edit a cal file then change to
that particular one all the words and pictures on the track selection screen
are screwy looking.  They go into some ghost looking 16 color mode????  When
that happens that's when the skip appears.  If I go back and select a different
cal, one that wasn't an edited version adding a track, everthing looks great
and no skip.  I must be missing something (in the brain) cause it only happens
on edited cal. files.  Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks.

Sounds like you missed something in your editing.  Open up the edited
file and a non-edited file and compare them.  Make sure your new entries
have ALL of the components.  Here is and example:

1  2 16 0 0 DAYTONA Daytona_500 Daytona_500 200 event1.pcx bigblnk1.pcx

Make sure the *.pcx files really exist in the track directory also.

I have had this happen when the .pcx file for the track logo is not the correct
pallet of colors. It is
easy to fix by opening one of the original track logo pcx files, save the color
pallet, then open the
new track logo file and apply the color pallet to it.  It may not be the only
problem you are
having, but it cured mine.... good luck
