SOME THOUGHTS ON THIS TRACK ISSUE (and others)

by Image-inati » Sun, 30 Nov 1997 04:00:00

I am going to say I am very pleased with the simulations that
Papyrus/Sierra produces.  I (along with several people) am tired of
reading how they somehow thing they are ***simulations, when I read
the junk that seems to be produced my the makers of Andretti Racing,
Microsoft CART, and PERHAPS ABC 's Road to the Indy 500.
I  recently read a posting here that a fella said he has every
simulation produced by the Papyrus Group, and when a new one comes
out, he just buys it knowing it will be a good one.  TRUE WORDS!!  I
agree!  I have Nascar 1  -- Nascar 2 / BGN EXPANSION PACK -- Indycar 1
-- and Indycar 2 --------- and I will tell you this ------------ I
feel confident that if someone is wanting something that will give you
the cclosest thing to the real thing then PAPYRUS is the only way to
go.

The bugs and the Arcsde style ***produced by the others just don't
easure up with the closest thing the the real thing by Papyrus.  I
have converted the Nascar 1 ovals to my Indycar 2  ( and I have the
Indianapolis Motor Speedway as well) and I can tell you this, NOTHING
measures up to the great experience of blasting around talledega at
250 mph, or Indianapolis at 232  or Pocono at 218, NOT TO MENTION the
breathtaking esperience of C***te, Darlington, Atlanta, and the
others!

Being a bit older that probably most of you young fellas, I rember
when The Indycars ACTUALLY DID race at Pocono and Atlanta and believe
me, it is a trip to be able to visit them now and compete.

FANTASY????????  Yes ----------- but that is the point.  That is what
the simulation really is to begin with.  WE are the WALTER MITTY's of
the world that are now able to step into the racing machines of our
childhood and now go one on one with the drivers of our fantasies.
Jus tedit out the names in the board, and add in the names like Mears,
Sullivan, Foyt, and whomever else you want to lock wheels with
------LOL.

I think this ***about who has the rights to the Indianapolis Motor
Speedway and whatever else is at the present is Horsesh_t!!  What do
they think we are going to do?  Practice until we are good enough to
go out and beat the professionals of the real world?    LOL

This corporate way of thinking has gotten out of hand in this country.
I am tired of the people of other countries thinking we are greedy and
unfeeling --------------they are right.

If something is produced for the masses, and available for the
enjoyment of others, then I THINK is would be an honor for someone to
know that there is a giant clamoring for my track to be on their
computer for them to use in their provate competition in their home,
behind closed doors, for thier own use. ------------I think I am
beginning to make my point.    THIS IS AMERICA ------ home of the free
--- these corporations arebeginning to act like communism should rear
its ugly head at their whim and fancy

To HELL with them ---------- I am going to enjoy myself the way I SEE
FIT ------------ because based on what THEY think is good as evidenced
by the ***they are trying to puch on us in the marketplace right
now, I will put together my own type of racing simulations and
incorporate the various track the way I want to and really make
something worth having!!!  And I haven't had to go through al;l the BS
of trying to figure out how to use the substandard s__t to begin
with!!

I have said what I want to --------- Thanks Papyrus for a great job
you are doing --------- CANT WAIT FOR GRAND PRIX LEGENDS ------ which
I will buy WITHOUT referring to the newsgroups here ------- becuase I
know it will be good right out of the box!!!!!!!
