rec.autos.simulators

I just downloaded the GPLD demo.  Number 1-  Confused/concerned that I did not
download a zip file, but rather a single 12.7mb file titled "GPLDEMO.exe".
When I try to launch this file from windows explorer (I am running W95), it
launches an MSDOS Window and gives me a message stating, "THIS PROGRAM CANNOT
BE RUN IN DOS MODE"

What gives, I waited 1.5 hours to download this??  Not a clue as to why this is
happening.  I have never had problems with Sierra/Papyrus software or downloads
in the past.  Want to drive the GLEN!!! Please help!!!

It's supposed to be an EXE, but it sounds like you downloaded a
corrupted copy (most likely either you or the person that uploaded it
did so in ASCII rather than Binary mode).
