Hi all,

A friend of mine is getting the following error online in GPL:

10054:ERROR DETECTED ON NETWORK DEVICE

The odd thing is he is getting the error in the GPL chat window... not
in a Windows message box. He is using a 56k dial-up connection, with
reasonable connect speeds and quality. Any ideas?

System specs:
Athlon XP1800
512MB DDR
ABIT GX7 mobo
ATI Radeon 8500
SB Audigy Gamer
US Robotics 56k modem
LWFF wheel and pedals
WinXP

GPL networking error

The 10054 is a very generic networking error code that basically says
"connection no longer exists". The root cause of this error can be anything
from congested routers to unclean phone lines to a server-side hiccup.
