Have you checked your network properties and the NIC in question to see if
its disabled?

where is the problem?
Have you?
Unplugged/turned off the modem for at least one full minute?
removed the router from the connection?
How many computers are running through the router?
Is the firewall a part of the router or modem?
have you checked the firewall?  turned off the firewall?
      removed/readded the network card?
Are all the computers having trouble?  have you removed each computer one by
one?
Is your *** system also the server system for your network?
Are you even using a network?  If not, why the router?
More questions but that is a start.

Yes, I have unplugged the router and modem several times for a minute each.
Only 2 computers running through the router, I have now even took the router
out.
the network card is built into the mother board. So, I am thinking
somethings gone wrong there, think i'll buy a new pci NIC and disable the
onboard one and see what happens.

Thanks
