Hi:

I have just purchased a 16-MB 3Dfx Voodoo3 2000 AGP card and now my GPL
won't recognize 3Dfx accelerator. Previous Creative Voodoo2 Banshee
worked fine, but had only 4-MB.

Anyone know what I may be missing? Mainboard is an ASUS P3B-F with
PIII-500 and 128-MB RAM, SoundBlaster Live!. GPL patches have been
applied and latest 3Dfx Voodoo3 drivers added. Included Tools & MiniGL
1.46 from 3Dfx CD.

There is a program on the 3dfx website (its a delv. file, I cant
remember the exact name) that deletes all banshee references on your
system. It fixes many problems that occur when upgrading from a banshee
to a V3.

Peter - you have excellent taste in hardware ;-) You have described my
configuration exactly - including the motherboard!

GPL (and everything else) works great. Only difference - I have never
had a Banshee.

I had exactly the same prob with my v3 3500. And the problem was fixed with
the delv.inf file, I found on the 3dfx page.
If you don't find it, I can mail it to you, its small.

I've finally got GPL to recognize the Voodoo3 card, thanks to Rolf and
Ivan. I removed the Voodoo3 drivers, installed the delv.inf, then re-
installed the drivers.

Now I have what could be described as a "pixelization" problem. The track
and cars are not drawn completely. I've installed DirectX 7a but that
hasn't solved the problem. I did notice, however, that the Voodoo3
installs Glide3x.DLL, not Glide2x.DLL. All the documentation I can find
refers to Glide2x patches.

Anyone know what's going on here?
