Urgent problems with GPL and Voodoo3 3500 (and perhaps DX7)

Hi,

I have recently installed DX7 and can't run GPL.  After Upgrading to version
1.2 the game seemed not to recognise that I had  a 3dfx card at all.  I
uninstalled the game and then patched it to 1.1 again.  However when I came
to play it I got as far as the 3dfx splash screen then I just get a blank
screen.  I uninstalled DX7 putting back DX6.1 but still got the blank screen
AND my game controller and gameport had disappeared!  I managed to reinstall
the game port but not the Game Devices program that appears in Control
Panel.

The only way I could get the game devices program back was to reinstall DX7
by replacing the User.dat and System.dat filed and rerunning the DX7
installer!

I have run GPL with my V3 3500 in the passed so am totally stumped.  I am
left with a non working GPL and DX7 on my sad, sad system :-).

There is some urgency to all this as I have a friend down until Tuesday and
we really need our fix of GPL time trials...

  sounds like trouble.
I can only suggest, making sure dx7 is up and running properly, THEN
re-installing the latest drivers for your vid card and your sound card.
then re-install and patch gpl up to 1.2 again.(I did see a post in a
3dfx newsgroup that had v3500 users running the drivers from the v3000,
you "might" try those if nothing else works.

1. GPL/Voodoo3 3500 TV?

2. Voodoo3 3500 GPL only at 640x480?
