Has anyone tried a Voodoo3 3500 yet?  Is this the best card to go with
for Nascar 3 or is there a better all-around card for driving and flying
sims available?

I appreciate your input.

They are all over here.  I just was in our local Hastings Book and
Video store, and they had half a dozen for sale, not empty boxes but the
real thing.  The TV in AND out intrigues me.  I always wanted to work on
getting replays online.  A great teaching aid methinks..

I found one, bought it, installed it, spent two weeks trying to get it to
work with GPL without crashing all the time, took it out and put dual VooDoo
II's back in. It's laying on the floor behind me here, waiting for someone
to step on it.

If ANYONE here can tell me how to get it to work in PIII 600, 128 meg., Asus
P2B, I'll pick it off the floor and spend another two weeks trying, because
when it worked (for two minutes each time, before crashing) it looked nice.
I posted here for the two weeks, spent time on phone with 3DFX tech,
downloaded/installed drivers, installed fan on heatsink, did whatever anyone
could tell me to do, everything I could think of, before finally one day
wanting to actually PLAY the game and ripping it out.

I did discover some sort of Glide wrapper AFTER I removed the VooDoo3 3500
that maybe would have worked, but haven't found the time necessary to remove
existing video cards and try again. It takes 3 hours to uninstall the ATI
All-in-Wonder Pro and 2 VooDoo II's, edit everything out of the registry by
hand, install VooDoo 3 3500, get it to work in Windows, then try in GPL
again. Then if it doesn't work, 3 hours to go back the other way one more
time. I don't know why I buy the games, I could just switch video cards full
time.......

Thanks Thos, you just put me off buying one! Is this a problem with the
3500 only? I've been scouting round for prices and found the lowest spec
card for only 32ukp, rising to 63 and 74 for the 2000/3000 so I was
sorely tempted.
