well leong, its just a common interest of all nascar and computer sim
lovers.  Nascar Racing 2 is my favorite game of all time.  The graphics, the
sound the realism.  yes you turn left alot... (although somtimes at taledaga
I find myself turnig right) but if that is all you can find in this
beautiful sim is left turns, and gas on gas off, then you arent really a sim
person.  I installed nascar racing 2 fall of 96, and recently just got it
back up and running.  I had a one year absence in playing it, and it felt so
nice to be back behind the wheel....er direction keys.  My favorite thing
now for nascar 2 is to use the mid 80's carset. nastagia.

Aren't that those leagues that lack any real e***ment because you can't
relegate and because the richest team always wins?

Anyone who has Eurosport knows what NASCAR-racing is all about:

Too many cars with too many ads on them driving on too boring ovals
resulting in too little e***ment.

You there in the USA should watch decent autosport like the BTCC or FIA
GT2.

Hey Gary,
are you ignorant - or do you think everyone else is?  There is no way
that
you set the AI in Nascar 99 to 100% your first day, had set mode to
Realistic
and won any races at all.  I don't care if you win every race in GPL, it
still
takes time to win in any "GOOD" sim, which is what Nascar 99 is! I would
win all
my races too in GPL if I could turn down the AI to 91% like you probably
did
in '99'.

Give it a chance would ya!

No Han.  Just because you have access to Eurosport does not mean that
you know what Nascar is all about.  From your posts it is obvious that
you do not follow the Winston Cup.  How you think you are qualified to
comment is beyond me.

And you think the single team domination that has plagued F1 since the
early '90s is exciting?  You need to step back and take an objective
view of F1.

USA?  Betrayed by your own ignorance.  I live in Canada and watch all
forms of motorsport whenever I can.  I appreciate each for what it
does...I do not expect all forms of motorsport to conform to one style
of racing.  How boring would that be?  If you do not like Nascar,
fine.  But that doesn't mean that it is somehow less a motorsport than
any other.

You obviously have no idea what your talking about.  You call cars racing 3
wide through the turns fighting for the lead boring?  Oh, but of course
watching McLaren lap the entire field is much more exciting.  There's nothing
boring about ovals.

NASCAR has evolved into the professional wrestling of motorsports...
Kinda hard to take it too seriously these days.

NASCAR does not suck. F1 does not suck. CART does not suck. IRL does
not.....oops. I take that back.

Living in New York City, where can one purchase GP2???  It took me 3 weeks to
find ICR2.

If this is true then why are the stands totally full at every single
race and every time new seats are added, they are always sold well in
advance?

Seems to me this wouldnt be true if Nascar did not appeal to millions of
fans. Personally I enjoy watching all forms of motor sports and I think
this Nascar/vs whatever argument is a waste of time, it certainly wont
change any fans enjoyment of his/her favorite type of racing.

Well the McClaren vs. Ferrari battle this year wasn't exactly lapping the whole
field. With races like the Canadian GP, Silverstone, Spa, Magny Cours etc.1998
was one of the most memorable F1 seasons since ....er.... the Williams vs.
Ferrari battle last year or the Benneton vs. Williams battles in the mid-Nineties
or the Williams vs. McClaren battles before that.
Yes, Nascar may be little understood in the UK, but it's obvious that F1 is
little understood in North America.
