Since some of us like the Jasper setups and other think they are ***I was
wondering if it due to weather settings.  Since the Jasper setups are "real
world" setups it would only make since that they are also for realistic
weather. On the other hand the fast setup may be geared to the clear 70
degree mark. I typically run with realistic weather, but last night tried
fixed weather and found the fast setups better than I typically do with
realistic weather. On the tracks I played around with it was about 20
degrees warmer with realistic than the fixed weather.  Which could be why
some of you find the Jasper setups tight and I find the fast too loose.

Just a thought

Not sure about that, but I've learned this much online.  Weather has a MUCH
greater impact on the cars in NR2003 than they did in NR2002.

I was on  a server where the host was looping Daytona.  On one loop, he
changed the temp from 61deg to 58deg and didn't tell anyone.

The race was a disaster.  People where getting shoved up into the wall,
pushing up from lane 1 all the way to lane 3, and generally all over the
track in the corners.

The race was restarted like twice because of the mess it created.

I also noticed a MAJOR temp change in the motor with just that 3 degree
change.  I could have easily increased from 65 to 70 tape without fear of
overheating.

I was running Darlington and the car drove great. The next race I was always
pushing up into the wall in turns 3/4. Thats when I started thinking about
the weather.

I do all offline racing at 70 deg.  I have enough trouble making setups for
that temp much less for all the temps :)

If I hit an online race thats different, I correct it during practice with
either tape, trackbar or wedge/bias.  Or a combination of this.

There usually isn't enough time to get into tire changes.

I find the fast setups too tight and the Jasper too loose.  I think it
depends on how you drive.

No, I just drive tracks other than Daytona and Talladega. =)
