Will Papyrus port to other 3d cards?

I wish someone had some time to tell me what you guys are talking
about.  Is there an FAQ that explains some of these video cards?

I've heard rumors of 3Dfx ports from Ken Williams of Sierra.  This
seems logical as Sierra has already produced at least one

the 3Dfx).
