N1: Help...!

I'm having problems after re-installing NASCAR 1.  Whenever I exit the game,
it says "Unable to save settings file."  Then when I try to run the game
again, I have to go and re-calibrate the wheel (T2), change the options for
graphics and sound, change driver info, race settings, control
settings....EVERYTHING, just like I'm installing it for the first time.  Also,
I CANNOT enter the Paintkit for some reason.  However, when I'm actually
playing the game, everything's fine.  Any ideas as to what the problem could
be?

i THINK YOUR PROBLEM MIGHT BE THE FILE ATTRIBUTES, on the fikes might be
set to Read-Only, depending on what sytem you, have, you do this:
if DOS then attrib *.* +r, to remove read-only attribute, but first you
want to see if the file is read only by typing attrib.
this should cure your problem.
Windows/Win95 head to file manager, and make sure all file details is
selected, and if there is an r then check it's properties and change it
to Archive.

              ^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I believe we have a typo here.  The +r sets the attribute to
"read-only".  Use the switch -r to remove the read-only attribute.

: want to see if the file is read only by typing attrib.
: this should cure your problem.
