Long time listener, first time caller...
er, wrong show..

OK,  having read only the topics that interest me in RAS, I do not quite
understand the Don Wilshe bashing.
By no means am I defending anyone or passing judgment, I would just like a
little more background than I have currently.
I see a lot of posts poking fun and would like to understand the reasoning.
Keep in mind that I thoroughly love belittling anyone for anything, but I
like to have some reasoning first.

Granted, I am relatively new to RAS and have only been paying attention for
a short while, so please provide the foundation for my RAS education.

Once I feel I am armed with the general consensus, I can then form my biased
judgment based on what everyone else thinks.

Thanks

Dave

Since this seems to come up every 2-3 months, maybe someone should
write a Don Wilshe FAQ.

Google search about it!  This NG is full of idiosyncratic characters that
have a long, long history of interaction, good and bad.  Don is one of them
8)

But one way or another, just remember that you can qualify faster at Atlanta
by banging the side of the car.  Yes indeed! ;)

It's what happens when people refuse to play by the same rules as others
take for granted, additionally Don doesn't give a flying f*** if he rubs
people the wrong way, I've had my run in's with Don but I have no
problems with him posting here, like my opinion matter, as long as he
posts about things that are on topic

I'll admit that some of the things he says rubs me the wrong way and
I've prolly said things that I wouldn't say to him if the discussion had
taken place at the local pub, but I'm not going to join those who jumps
all over him no matter what he posts about

I've yet to see anyone post that they've been conned by Don, my
involvement with Don has been fruitless, but they cost me very little
time and absolutely no money, so warning others about getting involved
with him is totally off the mark

If Don wants to use this NG to recruit people to help with his project,
a project which is totally on topic for the NG, then he has every right
to do so

And last but not least, AFAIK, Don is not a spammer

Beers and cheers

Buy reviews.. thats a new one.. how do you do that?  lol

I develop video games.  About 10 racing games in the last
4 years.  I have lots of people that write reviews.   Buying one
is one I never have done...  Get a grip dude and at least make
up a believeable story.. If I tried to buy reviews.. please name
names and give facts..  what did you do get this 4th hand..
lol

You were looking for sites to do favourable reviews for Ratbag titles and
help "get the word out" on these.  Basically a paid review IMHO.  You only
wanted sites with high hit counts and the impression I got was the review
had to be good for the title.  Wasn't like you wanted an unbiased assessment
of the titles in question.

Hmm that site gives no indication it is "coming soon", rather it seems to
explain why things are delayed and messed up.
