Drivers:

First off I want to tell you that these setups will not make you an
instant
winner, they will not drive your car around the track, they might not
even
work for your chasis and tire combination and they might not even work
for
your control device or your computer, but they work for me and the way i
do
things.  One thing it will do is even the pack.  We have over 3000
drivers
racing at mic and atl and this can get you in the TOP 10...

IF YOU CAN DRIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since the NASCAR 2.0 software is about to hit the street in late
1996 and I am always looking for a good race and I am gonna give you all
a christmas gift.  These setups are for Multi 1.36 and will be
essentially
useless for NASCAR 2.0 as it has different track characteristics and a
better
and improved physics engine.  Not mention several old bugs fixed.

My best setups for Michigan and Atlanta for a 16 lap
sprint race and qualifying.  It is:

        Tire Pressure 51,52,51,50, Stagger 1.000
Front and Rear Spoliers 3.5 and 70 degrees
        Shocks 95,100,100,94
        Camber -2.70, +.060
        Weights 1900, 1810, 50
        Gear 3.60
        Wheel Lock 5%, Non-Linear Steering!!!

Yes I use the same setup for both Atl and Mic.  Now this setup might not
work for your chasis and tire combination.  Each chasis is different and
the tires work differently at different temperatures.  The setup might
need very slight adjustments if temperatures change.  As you can see
from
the HAWAII MP races below I was able to run in some good company with a
10th fastest ever at Atlanta and a 2nd fastest at Michigan based on my
current set of stats.  I will probably fall a couple of notches with
more
current november 1996 data.

With these same setup I was able to qualify at:

Michigan.  04 Aug 96  23:12   DonWilsheIVGA          194.220    37.441
N 0mph  85F
Atlanta.   16 Jun 96  22:42   DonWilsheIVGA          189.100    29.640
NW 7mph  85F

As you can see I have used these setups at Atlanta and Michigan to post
a
couple of wins and some Top 5's.  Now hopefully you can be a TOP 5
driver as well..

Well now its time to race.  It would be neat if we could get HAWAII MP
to load this
setup as an IROC setup.  Maybe someone could talk to HAWAII MP.

If you are interested in racing against me, please send me an email..

We might have to have a few heat races to thin out the pack as many of
you
would like to tear off my bumper...

Thanks

Do you use this setup with a joystick or a wheel?

Don:
Happy Thanksgiving, and Merry Christmas to you.
Thanks for posting the Atlanta/Michigan setup. It doesn't look
remarkably different from mine, with the caveat that I haven't had a
chance to try yours and that mine IS 2 mph slower with my fat ***
behind the wheel.
Hope the Holidays go well for you and yours.

Addendum:
I tried your setup at both Mich and Atlanta.  I added 5 more degrees
steering lock. I could only run in the high 192's at Mich, and
just over 187 at Atlanta. I want my money back....
Thanks again, it was fun to see what you had done differently than I to
get the speed.

Well...when I used this setup for Atlanta I added a good 3mph to my lap
times. I can now go full throttle through all the turns rather than
feathering the gas as I have done in the past. Unfortunately, it appears
everyone on Hawaii has also started using this setup...because now half
the field is turning 188-189 mph laps. Oh well..guess I've got more work
to do.

BTW, the same setup for Michigan killed my times..seemed undriveable to
me. Guess it's a variance in driving style. Thanks for the posting though.
Not all of us have the talent for setting a car up.
