Is there any way of improving the lag in GPL on a LAN, our system works fine
for all other games but the warping in GPL is terrible, Please help as this
game would rock in Multi.

Regards, Speedfreak

P.S. I am using a 100 hub

I dont think your LAN is the problem, considering it runs other games well.
A GPL server will upload about 1Mbit/sec on a LAN with a full field and
default settings, this should be no problem unless there is other traffic on
your LAN.

So have a look at the server, can it handle the load? First of all, if
possible, do not race on the server and run it as a dedicated server, or
alternatively park it in the setup screen.

One thing I did not know for awhile is that using the setting in
core.ini, TCIP and IPX are 2 very different beasts. When my cousin and I
started out a few months ago, we used TC/IP, and he only saw a few cars
in front and a couple cars in mirrors. The TC/IP is set up for modems in
core. Since switching to IPX for the LAN, wow... oodles of info is
crammed through the CAT-5 to 'his' machine.

Maybe that helps?
