I went ahead and loaded it up and noticed a significant improvement in
frame rate. I had always been under the impression that if you had a
built in VESA driver this was unecessary. I run with a full field
visible in front and everything on except for road and grass texture.
With the UniVBE loaded and road/grass set to auto they both stay on all
the time until I tangle with another car. Then they shut down until
things get sorted out. Without the UniVBE loaded road/grass never come
on.
I am curious as to what this thing does. I'm running a P5-90 with a
Diamond Stealth 64 2meg DRAM. I would also like to know if the UniVBE
has been updated since the release of ICR2.
Can anybody out there shed any light on this?
