N2 Sensitivity in Joystick vs Wheel Modes

by Scott Willingh » Fri, 14 Nov 1997 04:00:00

I have a question about the joystick controller mode in N2.  Some have
recommended using the joystick selection even when using a wheel
controller because of the nonlinear progressive sensitivity.  Can anyone
tell me exactly how radical this nonlinearity is, e.g. sensitivity at
the center of rotation vs sensitivity at full lock?  Also, does the
joystick mode cause any dead-zone at the center of rotation?  Finally,
does the nonlinearity apply to just the steering axis, or to the
acceleration/braking axis as well?

Thanks for any insights!
