I just LOVE the invitelist thingy.
It makes things work so smoothly.

I'm glad John understood that - I didn't know WTF you were talking about...  I
get the names for the driver list off the website.  If you aren't on the site
yet, that's why you weren't on the invite list - sorry.  I don't go to the
forums very often(I *hate* 'em), so I wouldn't have seen that message.

He didn't register until we were in the lobby just before the race.  You
weren't at fault there Eldred.

I did have a resistance to registering, since I didn't think that I'd be on
any more RASCAR races.
I still do not think that I will enter any more RASCAR's, and that is
because the awkward time (in CET).
I hadn't realized that the invitelist was in effect, until just before the
race, and I was asking a bunch of guys in the lobby if someone could look at
the invitelist.
I checked with the carnumbers at the rascar rooster, and John got all my
details.

It showed that it was impossible to join this way because of the invitelist.
I do not like the solution, because now I'm taking up number 29, and will
probably not race...

In the end, it didn't really matter that I didn't race, because of what I
read from the thread above the race was not particularly good.
I went to VROC and shaved almost 4 seconds of my Silverstone PB, in a
friendly race with no yellows ;-)

Ok,well, you're welcome to race if you want.  If you can't, just let John know
and he'll free up the number for someone else.

It was ok.  A couple of guys had 'issues' with each other(sounds like the REAL
race<g>), but there were elements of fun to be had.

I'm seriously considering running a different track instead.  I really don't
think Darlington is conducive to good racing.

It's not conductive to a passing-repassing style of racing. Whether the
patience/choosing one's moments/fights racing Darlington promoted is less
"fun" is not something I would like to determine.

I will agree the default setup is an accident waiting to happen, but, with
some luck, I can use that to my advantage.
