I somewhat agree (although I'd rather run less cars and have GPL
physics!) but the original assertion was that N3 was about as good as
it could have been, to which I responded in disagreement. With the GPL
engine it could have been far better.

Perhaps - I tend to upgrade pretty constantly to do it in the most
cost-effective manner, but that probably won't suit everyone. For me
the loss of "feel" that GPL gives is almost insurmountable, and no
matter what else was added to N3 I doubt in my case it could have
replaced what was lost.
