Can anyone explain which version to use with gpl for best laptimes? Version
1.1 and 1.2 enable a minimum ride height of 2.5cm instead of 1cm(v1.000). I
think the fastest laptimes are driven with v1.000 because the car can be
tuned closer to the ground. What version do the ultimate fast guys like
Greger Huttu  use?

Everyone uses 1.2 for hotlaps. Hotlaps made with 1.0, ride height of 1
inch, are not valid.

Version 1.1 with it's low setups is unrealistic. It may be fine if you want
the car sitting on the bump-stops, but the car can be quite evil-handling
like this. Wolfgang Woeger reportedly said the car can be just as fast using
a more realistic ride height (2.5 to 4in) and will invariably be easier to
drive as well.
Better to go with v1.2, so at least you'll be compatible with everyone for
multiplayer.

Well well, are you taking up hotlapping again? It's been a long time...
Use v1.2. It seems to be slightly faster than 1.0 and hotlap boards only
accept 1.2 anyway. Avoid 1.1 as it has a timing bug.

Bye,
Leo
