Had my Voodoo2 for over 2 years now and someone just recently offered me
a 32mb Matrox G400 AGP. It's on offer for a good price, and I don't
wanna splash out on anything new, just yet. Do you think I should get
it?

I'm only concerned that it works with N4, GPL and GP3.

Hi Rob, the G400 works great with GPL with the D3D patch, can't say about N4
and GP3 though.

I would avoid it. The best card for N4 and GPL (if you have the latest
D3D patch) is a Geforce3 or Radeon, with heavy heavy leaning toward the
Geforce3.

Why didn't you add a GF2 also? It's just as fast as the GF3 in N4 but
cost's a lot less.

Rob wrote he doesn't want to buy a brand new card.. in that case
certainly not the way overpriced GF3.
A GF2 is more affordable.. friend of mine bought the Asus Deluxe GTS
yesterday (including the 3d glasses) for 480 guilders, that's
eeehhhh... 150USD or something like that. I paid way more for it a
couple of months ago :(

Because the GF3 is newer. The GF2 is cheaper (and the Ultras aren't
that much cheaper), but the GF3 will last him longer due to its support
for advanced D3D features that have yet to be released.

Rob,
Look up at the ->GPL' Lets get those frame rates up !!!<- thread.
I have a G400, but I don't have a comparison. Seems to work pretty decent.

look in that post I gave FPS and system info.
Any luck getting into Atlas races ?
