I recentl received a Thrustmaster wheel and with it was included NASCAR
2.  Although as a simulator it is rated very highly (based on reviews
I've read), I am a little disappointed in the 640x480/256 color
graphics. Are there other games which offer better resolution without
sacrificing simulator realism?  Thanks.

Rich,

If you tell us more about your system and your racing preferences, we might be
better equipped to help you out. Some of the newer sims will only run on higher
end machines and others will still run on a P90. Some sims require very
specific video cards to run correctly.

If you have a 3dfx card, you can download the 3dpatch from Papyrus which
makes an enormous difference.

that!! I get the mess Not a valid CD ROM, contact your vendor... which

>High resolution and (serious) realism:
>Grand Prix Legends by Papyrus/Sierra.

>Another high-res, realistic sim to consider:
>Viper Racing by Sierra (due this month)

Hi Rich,
I have a Screamin' 3D video accelerator card, Pentium 150, and run the
rendition mode of Nascar2, and it makes a big difference. I was also
disappointed at first, but the 3D card, and the Rendition mode allows for
anti-aliasing of the graphics, and really smooths things out.

Good Luck,
