THRILLER HELP... Revisited

Thriller help.... Thanks to all who replied! ;-)

Tried a bunch of stuff, but the ONLY thing that worked was Phil McNelley's
suggestion and link to the Rendition reference drivers... they work GREAT.
Get them here http://www.racesimcentral.net/
Thriller wierdness.

FWIW, I do have a Bh6... It would NOT BOOT if I had the Thriller in any PCI
slot other than 1 or 2. Sounds nutty, but true, and I had all of the video
card parameters configured correctly in the Soft Menu.

But now GPL is happy, I am happy and I can now go into Display Properties
after running GPL and not have the PC crash!!

All is right in my PC world!

BTW, the Celeron is a SL32A (jumped on it about 2 months before I built the
system) and it went to 450 IMMEDIATELY at 2.0 volts!! Kick butt! GPL has
NEVER looked or performed like this for me on my old 233MMX, no surprise
there. But to run all detail online and get 36fps is AWESOME!!! I also LOVE
the SB Live Value card I put in.... Patrick's tricked out sounds are awesome
with the Live.

Thanks again guys! ;-)

Your comment about the Thriller only working in Slot 1  or 2 is interesting.
I have a 300A, and tried to switch from my LX-6 MB, to a BH-6. I could never
get the computer to be stable, even at 300. In fact, it seemed better at
450, but still randomly crashed. I spent a week and half trying everything
under the sun, but I eventually gave up. My Thriller was the only thing I
couldn't swap out, and I was suspicious that it was the problem. I had it in
slot 4...

A few simple words which are the envy of many a sim-head. They denote
a state every PC game player whishes were the norm. How sweet the
utterance of these single syllable tones. No doubt your natural
endorphines are swimming thick though your system and your Alpha brain
waive patterns are in a state of all time mirth. Lucky you.

Glad that my advice has been helpful. Might see you on VROC maybe.

Phillip McNelley.
